ALIBEC: Chapter 113 - 0,5 Seconds

13 minutes in, both teams once again chose the top lane as the battlefield. Guesz repeated his old trick, shoving the wave toward PNG’s side and giving Wei Ye no room to back off. The moment they met, he smashed the R key without hesitation. The instant the Furnace Ram’s war horn sounded, two Teleports lit up at the same time—from Sui Ning and Feng Yi. The junglers, who had been squatting in their respective brushes for ages, also stepped out, ready to engage, with the supports right behind them—

To win this fight, both teams had dragged the whole family out, calling in every trump card they had. Cheng Su seized a chance to roam from bot to top, only to run straight into Yu Ze, who had the exact same idea.

“Erllit and Breathe almost simultaneously step out from two adjacent bushes!” Qing Ci narrated, barely holding back laughter. “They glance at each other—probably thinking, bro, what are you doing here?”

“Sheepishly, Breathe must be replying, you’re here too! Both supports have traveled thousands of miles to top lane, while bot lane—the place that’s usually a bloodbath—is bizarrely peaceful right now. The orphaned marksmen are farming so obediently!”

“With eight people piling into top lane at this timing, there’s no way this ends quietly. A team fight is about to break out! This fight is all about setting up the next dragon—or even Baron. Top lane has been turbulent all game. PNG wanted Volibear to suppress the ram’s scaling but failed. If they don’t deal with him now, that ram will charge straight through their comp later!”

On his own stream, Tofu gulped down a mouthful of water and analyzed while chatting with viewers: “…Supports definitely came because their teammates called them up! Didn’t you notice both mid laners’ TP positions are far from the fight? They knew the other side called support too. Otherwise, with Brother Feng’s temperament, wouldn’t he have TPed straight onto Guesz’s face? Guesz already used ult—just a stubby-legged ram with a tiny hammer left. Can he even touch a Phantom Trickster? Brother Feng would toy with him to death, alright?”

“Scared just because supports came? That’s cowardly—no, wait. User [I’m a Big Idiot], your ID really checks out. Tell me, what heroes are Breathe and Erllit playing? Two hard-engage supports, and you want your squishies to walk into their faces? You really don’t treat them as human, huh?”

Before the sentence even finished, Yu Ze acted without hesitation. Riding a pure-white spirit deer, the green-haired Spirit of the Forest charged straight to the front. She raised her staff high, and an unstoppable emerald stun burst forth, aimed directly at Wei Ye and Ji Yunyu. A violent gust instantly spiraled around the two—

“Engage, engage, engage—I’m in!!”

Yu Ze shouted into the mic. “Two! I got two! Where’s the ram?! Damn it, your second ult!”

“Are you kidding me? You haven’t even finished the first ult—how do you cast the second?!”

“Their TPs are about to land and you still haven’t finished—save it for next life! Such a perfect engage from me—”

Qu Feiying cut in: “Stop arguing, stop arguing—I’ll Q one!”

“Breathe finds the angle—[R: Revitalizing Gale] perfectly pulls in PNG’s top and jungle!” Chao Mi exclaimed. “But the cast range was a bit too close—his position is bad, slightly disconnected from his team! Guesz’s ult follow-up is just a tiny bit slow—”

He caught sight of Qu Feiying’s Q getting barely blocked by Wei Ye and immediately praised him: “—That split-second difference mattered! Myerii blocked the lethal root! So the [R: Horn of Fury] knockback only hits him—Cloud can still move!! Breathe is in serious danger now!”

“Nice, good block!”

“Support, support, support—kill their support! Low HP!”

“Damn it, since when is 70% HP ‘low’?! Who called that fake info?!”

“The ram has no Flash! Ram no Flash!”

“Watch positions—Boring’s TP is almost here, careful of a steal—”

Wei Ye shouted a reminder. In just two or three seconds, he had eaten endless crowd control, juggled in the air nonstop. If he hadn’t popped his ultimate and turned tanky on the spot, he’d already be dead.

PNG barely held on through the first half—but now his ultimate was about to end. Meanwhile, the purple glow of the four-second teleport channels grew blinding, signaling both mid laners’ imminent arrival. Feng Yi’s Kaelos Blade had the ability to clean up a fight. If he managed to “steal” a few low-HP kills, the entire situation would flip instantly.

Voices overlapped in comms. Sui Ning listened quietly, filtering out the most valuable information.

“Support is low—actually low, 30% HP! Finish him!”

Wei Ye added, “Careful—Lei’s first item, early armor pen, his damage is huge! I—”

Before he could finish, a black shadow swept past him. Blade light reflected off the blue-white mane of the thunder bear, blood spraying forth.

-1091!

-327! (Wound Tear)

The mountain-like bear let out a wail and collapsed.

[HTG_Boring (Kaelos Blade) has slain PNG_Myerii (Thunderfury)!]

“Holy shit—!! That crit exactly one-shot me!”

Wei Ye groaned, wanting to roar along with the bear on his screen. “Look at that, look at that!!”

He didn’t need to say it. Sui Ning and Feng Yi were thinking the exact same thing—

Clear the battlefield first.

[PNG_Wind (Phantom Trickster) has slain HTG_Breathe (Spirit of the Forest)!]

[PNG_Wind (Phantom Trickster) has slain HTG_Guesz (Furnace Ram Spirit)!]

[Double Kill!]

Working with the still-mobile Ji Yunyu, Sui Ning successfully cleaned up two low-health targets.

Yu Ze panicked a bit. “Wind has no skills—go on him!!”

Otherwise, once that monster’s cooldowns came back up, he’d start killing again, and HTG would truly collapse.

Feng Yi pressed his lips together. He still had his ultimate saved—specifically for Sui Ning.

But the opponent looked relaxed on the surface while constantly maintaining a mutual cover-and-support distance with Ji Yunyu. A straight duel between Lai and Fran was never easy—especially against opponents of this caliber. In a critical 13-minute fight, even he didn’t dare act rashly.

“Wait for cooldowns,” Feng Yi said. “I’ll look for a chance to kill him. Check Cloud’s position.”

“Where’s the jungler?! Viy!” Yu Ze urged. “Mark him!”

Qu Feiying sighed helplessly. “Damn it, with this haro, what can I do in teamfights besides spectate… fine, fine, I’ll try to stall!”

He wracked his brain to block Ji Yunyu, trying to carve out space for his teammates.

Maybe it was three seconds. Maybe two. Qu Feiying wasn’t sure. He only knew that the captain beside him suddenly went silent. And unsurprisingly, on PNG’s side, Wind fell just as quiet.

The two stood on opposite sides of the minion wave, neither too close nor too far apart—like predators meeting on a prairie, restrained, watching, waiting.

Perhaps among the same kind there exists a strange aura others can’t understand. Just like when Qu Feiying himself meets another jungler—even one he’s never faced before—there’s an inexplicable tacit understanding, almost like an innate telepathic sense…

In the end, when both sides felt the timing was right, they made their move.

“Wind makes the first move!! QE to start—he casts E immediately, the chain threading through five minions and landing straight onto Boring! You’ve got to say, Wind’s skill usage is insanely imaginative. From this angle, I don’t think even Boring expected it—he didn’t get blocked by the minions at all!”

“The 1.5-second root hasn’t even triggered yet, and Boring’s counterattack is beautiful! [Q – Throat-Slitting Duel] straight in, instantly followed by an auto attack—half a second and Wind already has two stacks of the bleed debuff!”

The commentators tense up, eyes locked on the duel, unwilling to miss a single detail.

The commentary booth explodes:

Chao Mi’s breathing grows rapid and sharp. “Three stacks of bleed will trigger [Wound Tear] plus silence—fatal for a squishy mage like Fran!! Boring, one more W skill—”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Feng Yi presses W. A fan-shaped spray of blades shoots straight ahead, but it only barely grazes the hem of the female mage’s skirt.

“—WIIIIIN—D!! This is a 19-year-old’s reaction time!! From that distance—practically face to face—when you can’t even see the skill’s wind-up, he flashes to dodge Boring’s W!!”

[??????]

[???]

[Holy shit…]

[Another god-tier play—cheats aren’t even this ridiculous (sweaty bean emoji)]

[That can be dodged?? That can be dodged?? That can be dodged??]

[Other people’s 19, my 19 (clown emoji)]

“Boring’s crucial blade fan MISSES—!”

Qing Ci immediately realizes the problem and says anxiously, “W has a long cooldown—this is terrible news for him. Relying on skill damage alone after this, he might not be able to kill Wind!”

If skill damage isn’t enough, it means he’ll need more auto attacks.

But this isn’t an ADC duel. No assassin would ever let their opponent freely auto them—that would be pure humiliation.

Seizing the opening while Boring’s skill is down, Sui Ning double-taps W onto Feng Yi’s position, instantly dropping his HP below 24%, and locks his ultimate’s “repeat last cast skill” effect onto W.

Fortunately, Feng Yi doesn’t panic. The ultimate he’s been holding finally comes into play.

He presses R. Countless daggers fly out from beneath his cloak, forming a circle around him as he enters stealth.

Sui Ning has no tools to reveal stealth, which gives Feng Yi a sliver of security.

Qing Ci: “[R – Blade Feast], Boring uses his ultimate! But his current HP is extremely dangerous—Wind is nearly a thousand gold ahead in the matchup, has an extra component, and still has his own ultimate! Boring could consider using stealth to disengage and wait for the next cooldown cycle!”

Chao Mi wipes sweat from his brow. “—But Boring isn’t planning to leave right away. He wants to fully commit the damage from R! I feel like his Q is almost back up—after the R blades hit, a flash-Q-auto into Wound Tear could instantly delete Wind!! Wind took a full combo earlier; his HP isn’t healthy at all!!”

“And the bleed debuff is still ticking—Wind is down to just 21% HP now!”

Three seconds… two seconds… one second…

In the final 0.5 seconds before the ultimate stealth ends, all the thrown daggers are recalled, dealing massive damage to any enemies along their flight paths. Because of that, Feng Yi chooses a path where the daggers, Sui Ning, and himself form a straight line.

Ji Yunyu notices this and grows anxious, but Qu Feiying is stuck to him like glue—low damage, insanely annoying. He really can’t shake him off in the short term.

Sui Ning subconsciously curls the corner of his lips, wanting to reassure him, but this is the most critical moment. He can’t afford even the slightest distraction.

The commentators, the audience, even the opponents are already waiting for the ultimate to end, planning their next moves once QWE come off cooldown. But Sui Ning doesn’t think that way.

He doesn’t particularly like this hero, Lai. As a stealth assassin, its key ultimate has a fatal weakness.

“There’s a 0.5-second gap between the daggers starting to return and the stealth ending.”

Sui Ning says softly. “During those 0.5 seconds, the daggers turn to face their owner, preparing to fly back—”

So, in that 0.5-second window, wherever the blade tips point—that’s where Feng Yi is.

As if to confirm his thought, the countless buzzing daggers suddenly begin to tremble. Sui Ning knows clearly this isn’t just a visual effect—

“I found you.”

Sui Ning says.

[PNG_Wind (Phantom Trickster) has slain HTG_Boring (Kaelos Blade)!]

[Triple Kill!]
