ALIBEC: Chapter 135 - Final Game (3)

“PNG, PNG, PNG——!!!”

“CLOOOUD——!”

Less than three minutes into the game, First Blood was secured. The sudden surprise left PNG fans in the arena dizzy with excitement. Before they could even savor their jungler’s play, the roaring chants of the team’s name had already flooded the entire venue.

“Didn’t expect First Blood to come this suddenly!”

The two commentators were equally shocked. Watching the replay, Qing Ci couldn’t help but comment, “Seeing Cloud start red, we could guess he wanted to create pressure bot lane—but no one expected it to turn into First Blood right away! Navic was way too careless!”

Chao Mi, however, shook his head in disagreement, his gaze sharp. “I don’t think Navic played poorly—I think Erllit and Mior played brilliantly! We’ve seen plenty of players use low-health minions as bait on this stage before, but those were always solo plays!”

“This time, Erllit threw out the Q first, and Mior instantly followed up by killing the minion—perfectly setting up the hook to land on Liome. They created an opportunity out of nothing!”

“When a single-player play gets split between two people and is still executed this smoothly, it just shows how incredible their synergy is. If Mior had been even half a second slower, that Q would’ve been a joke!”

Chao Mi concluded firmly, “Erllit landing that hook to force cooldowns and HP advantage is what enabled Cloud to secure First Blood—this was a team effort!”

Qing Ci nodded. “Exactly, and Cloud got that kill so quickly that Truik didn’t even have time to make plays in PNG’s jungle! Not only did Navic give away 400 gold, their entire lower half of the map is already slightly collapsing in the early game!”

As he said, the 400 gold from First Blood wasn’t the biggest issue.

Navic’s real problems were twofold: First, mid lane had no priority. Without backup from behind, Pei Xingyi couldn’t use the situation to invade PNG’s jungle. That meant PNG suffered zero losses—Ji Yunyu not only got a free 400 gold but could also continue dictating the tempo safely.

Second, the previously even bot lane matchup was now broken. Bian Cheng’s death cost him a huge amount of experience—by the time he respawned and returned to lane, he was still level 1.

“Good thing Liome didn’t die,” Pei Xingyi said, still a little shaken. “If that turned into a double kill, bot lane would be unplayable.”

Fortunately, Bian Cheng had immediately told his marksman to retreat the moment he saw Ji Yunyu. Otherwise, a level 2+1 duo facing a level 3+3 enemy—there’d be no way to play.

Meanwhile, Pei Xingyi controlled the Stone Sentinel as it cleared the last camp in his blue-side jungle, his thoughts constantly circling between mid and top lane.

Their support was still respawning, and the marksman had just recalled. During this half-minute window, Ji Yunyu definitely wouldn’t stay bot—so where would he go…?

“Cloud showed at around 2:40, right?”

“About that.”

Pei Xingyi quickly calculated the Void Devourer’s average clear speed and concluded, “Then he still has two camps left in blue side—he’ll definitely go back to farm. I’ll gank top!”

Jiang Yin immediately provided vision info: “Enemy top has no vision. Myerii’s ward is in the lane bush—you can come straight through river.”

“OK, nice!” Pei Xingyi let out a breath of relief—that was exactly what he wanted to hear.

However, deducing that Ji Yunyu was still on the bottom side meant that Zou Jiayou and Bian Cheng weren’t out of danger yet.

“Bot lane, be careful!” Pei Xingyi warned. “Once I show top, he might come back down for another gank!”

Zou Jiayou nodded. “Got it. We can hold.”

Once Pei Xingyi showed on the top side, PNG would immediately know Navic’s bot lane was isolated. Ji Yunyu could very likely return for a 3v2 dive.

But if Pei Xingyi didn’t show and just hovered to countergank, Navic would have no vision in PNG’s jungle and no way to track Ji Yunyu—essentially handing over tempo control completely. Ji Yunyu would always make the first move, leaving Navic trailing behind in the dust.

After weighing the options, Pei Xingyi decided to take the risk and start a play top side. At this point, he could only trust his bot lane to hold under pressure and buy him time.

Of course, he would execute every detail perfectly—

“Truik’s Stone Sentinel has reached the top river brush. He should know there’s no vision here—Mistake must’ve communicated that!”

The wave position was ideal. Jiang Yin had deliberately controlled it to set up the gank.

From a spectator’s perspective, the Sentinel’s path into the brush was extremely stealthy, drawing no attention from PNG at all. It could initiate at any moment. The camera had already locked onto this deadly triangle zone—but Pei Xingyi still made no move.

The commentators couldn’t hide their confusion. “What is he waiting for?”

The wave was perfectly positioned thanks to Jiang Yin’s setup—this was the best timing Navic could hope for. What was Pei Xingyi hesitating about? Waiting for Wei Ye to overextend?

Impossible. No matter how clueless Wei Ye might be, he wouldn’t try to push forward with Wildfang—a weak early-game pick—against Soul-Sealing Blade Demon. Especially with PNG’s mid and jungle missing, he wasn’t suicidal enough to just walk up and feed.

[????]

[Lag?]

[What’s going on—did Truik’s mouse break??]

[No no no, don’t mess this up! This is such a good opportunity!! QAQ]

[Tofu, we need you—say something!]

“Hmm—”

Tofu sucked in a breath, wearing an expression like an old man staring at a phone on the subway. First, he was certain this wasn’t a hardware issue—otherwise there would’ve been a pause already. So what exactly was Pei Xingyi trying to do?

Frowning deeply, Tofu leaned closer to the screen. Since he wasn’t a jungler himself, he could only gather as much information as possible from the minimap.

His eyes darted back and forth between both jungles. Then, the moment he saw Ji Yunyu finish clearing blue side and start moving toward mid, Tofu suddenly slapped his thigh and blurted out loudly: “I got it! Truik is hiding his vision to bait Cloud away from the bottom side!!”

PNG also had no vision of Navic’s jungle and didn’t know Pei Xingyi’s position—so both sides were actually dealing with the same uncertainty! From Ji Yunyu’s perspective, if Pei Xingyi had already been heading bot earlier, then the time he spent clearing jungle would be more than enough for Pei Xingyi to set up an ambush. Going back bot could very likely lead to a countergank!

Ji Yunyu hadn’t recalled yet—his 400 gold hadn’t been converted into combat power, and he’d already used his consumables. In a 3v3 against Sentinel, he wouldn’t gain any advantage—instead, he might throw away his strong early tempo!

Cheng Su and Lin Zhaoxu already had lane priority and both summoner spells. Diving them wouldn’t be easy for Navic. So Ji Yunyu figured—why not use this window to extend his advantage elsewhere?

“…So from Cloud’s perspective, there’s absolutely no need to go somewhere he might get counterganked and ruin his own tempo! And by the same logic, Truik can predict this too—he expects Cloud to pressure mid after clearing, so as long as he hides his position and lures Cloud away from bot side, his bot lane will be safe!”

The moment it clicked, Tofu felt like a surge of energy shot through his entire body. He started slamming the desk in excitement. “Holy crap, these junglers all have like 10,086 layers of mind games—they’re insanely sneaky!! You, Cloud, fast-clear, skip camps, gank bot at 2:30? Then I, Truik, fake a countergank but actually sit top to bait you—is that too much?!”

Once the bait worked, the threat to bot lane disappeared—and he could still gank top to create an advantage. Massive win!

“And the craziest part? The CRAZIEST part is—they can’t even see each other right now, but they’re still calculating each other forward and backward like this!”

After yelling, Tofu couldn’t help but sigh in awe. “How do their brains even work? If I were in a palace drama like Legend of Zhen Huan, I wouldn’t survive five minutes!”

[??????]

[I’m dizzy, what kind of multi-layered mind game is this??]

[Are you serious? All that thinking in just a few seconds??]

The chat was completely overwhelmed by the logic. They switched to another stream—same explanation. Another one—still the same!

What were these streamers even talking about?

Wasn’t jungling just clearing camps, going wherever looked convenient, and maybe taxing a wave on the way? What was all this “blind vision mind games, baiting each other” stuff? Were they even playing the same game?!

Most viewers didn’t believe it—but what happened next left them no choice.

Ji Yunyu finished his camps, waited a few seconds, and moved toward the mid river brush. At the exact moment he left blue side, the “disconnected” Pei Xingyi finally moved!

The camera switched perspectives several times. From either PNG or Navic’s vision, neither side could see the other—but from the observer’s full-map view, it was clear that their movements were strangely synchronized, almost like a silent understanding. One stayed still, the other moved—countering motion with stillness.

Before the audience could process it, the massive Stone Sentinel burst out from the brush like a statue come to life. With an E-Flash taunt, it cut off Wei Ye’s retreat, and combined with Soul-Sealing Blade Demon’s burst damage, they secured the kill on Wildfang.

[Nv_Mistake (Soul-Sealing Blade Demon) has slain PNG_Myerii (Wildfang)!]

“Nice!” Pei Xingyi finally relaxed, revealing a grin with his little tiger teeth.

He quickly noted the cooldown: “Top no Flash, 8:31.” Used at 3:30—five-minute cooldown.

“Beautiful, as expected of our Star bro! 300 gold, delicious!”

“I like hearing that. Say more, and I’ll gank for you again.”

Jiang Yin laughed. “Dear user, this voice line requires payment. Send me 50, and I’ll praise you again!”

“?”

At the same time, a wail rang out in PNG’s comms.

“Holy—SHIT—!”

Wei Ye couldn’t take it anymore. “Why the hell is he STILL here?!”

Earlier, when Jiang Yin was freezing the wave, Wei Ye had considered the possibility that Pei Xingyi might be nearby. So he played cautiously.

But after waiting so long with no sign of him, Wei Ye naturally assumed he had left—only to have a bald guy suddenly jump out of the brush half a minute later!

He yelled in anguish, “You camped me for half a minute?? That’s excessive, bro! I even walked to the middle of the lane on purpose, and you STILL didn’t show—what, did you go through rehab or something?!”

After testing multiple times and seeing no response, Wei Ye had finally concluded no one was there—only to get punished. Too sneaky!

Meanwhile, Ji Yunyu’s expression darkened. For the opponent to appear top at that exact timing—it was clearly a deliberate long wait. And the timing lined up almost perfectly with his own movements in blue side. Coincidence?

Ji Yunyu shook his head inwardly. There was no way “coincidence” could explain the level of a mid-season champion jungler like Navic’s. Even after giving up First Blood in a deciding game, they remained this calm—bold yet meticulous, already clawing back the disadvantage. He would have to be even more cautious from here on.

——

Navic, thanks to Pei Xingyi, had stabilized their early disadvantage. Naturally, Ji Yunyu couldn’t sit still.

At 4:15, he moved to top lane, preparing to make a play with Wei Ye against Jiang Yin.

“Cloud has found a great opportunity! Truik isn’t here—Mistake is alone top right now!” the commentators said, gripping his fist tightly, eyes glued to the screen. “But Myerii is only level 3—he can’t put two points into Q yet, so his combat power is a bit lacking!”

“—Mistake, a level 4 Blade Demon… how’s this going to play out?!”

Ji Yunyu wasted no time. Controlling the Void Devourer, he used his E to burrow through the ground and slip behind Jiang Yin by crossing the wall. The cracking sound of the earth immediately alerted Jiang Yin—but he didn’t panic. Thanks to the previous kill, his Soul-Sealing Blade Demon was already level 4. Combined with the fact that this was one of his signature warrior picks, he felt fully confident taking a 1v2.

“Holy—holy shit!”

Pei Xingyi glanced over and was instantly alarmed. “Bro, hang on! I’m coming right now!”

Jiang Yin didn’t reply. He had already decided to turn the fight. After a quick glance at PNG’s top and jungle, he locked onto Ji Yunyu as his first target. He unleashed Q – Deathbringer Blade and W – Infernal Vortex at the same time, predicting the timing of Ji Yunyu’s second E.

Eyes fixed on the cracks in the ground, Jiang Yin felt his blood surge, his heart pounding wildly. His breathing quickened as he counted down in his head—

1 second, 0.5 seconds, 0—

The Void Devourer burst out of the ground! At the exact same moment, the Blade Demon raised his massive blade and slammed it down. Dark-red molten energy exploded outward, the first strike of Deathbringer Blade piercing through with knock-up damage, hitting the enemy perfectly!

And it didn’t stop there. His passive, Swordforged Soul, triggered—boosting damage and restoring health, instantly recovering the sliver of HP he had just lost. Wei Ye tried to follow up, but a perfectly placed Infernal Vortex pinned him in place. The 45% burn slow made Wildfang nearly immobile!

Just a few steps of distance—Yet now it felt like an uncrossable chasm!

“—Mis—take!! What is he doing?!”

“Is he really going for a 1v2?!”

The commentator didn’t even have time to think before roaring: “How do they play this?! Mistake strikes first—W into Q—absolutely perfect! Textbook counterplay!! He uses W to lock down Myerii’s position, and predicts Cloud’s knock-up with Q!”

“Cloud lands his second E knock-up too—both players are airborne at the same time! But Myerii can’t follow up immediately—his Flash was already used in the previous gank! Cloud’s crucial knock-up gets no value—”

“The two seconds Blade Demon is airborne are the most dangerous—he could get focused down instantly!! But Mistake perfectly avoids control, splits the fight, and defuses the situation—beautiful!!”

Qing Ci exclaimed in amazement: “Once they land, the situation heavily favors Mistake! A 1/0 lane-dominant Blade Demon isn’t afraid of the Void Devourer in a 1v1, and Wildfang is only level 3 and still far away—so next—”

Before he could finish, Jiang Yin showed the entire audience exactly how unstoppable he could be when ahead on a warrior top.

The Blade Demon lived up to his name—each strike dealt terrifying damage. With four Long Swords boosting his early stats to the limit, not a single gold coin was wasted. His E – Coldblood Dash gave him unmatched mobility, allowing Jiang Yin to weave effortlessly between the two enemies.

Warrior tops are the strongest in the game!! Jiang Yin roared inwardly.

“The damage is insane—Cloud’s HP is dropping too fast, he wants to Flash—Mistake uses second Q—”

The commentator suddenly paused, eyes widening as both PNG players were knocked up again. “…Wait, what just happened?!”

The second cast of Deathbringer Blade deals significantly higher damage and knock-up duration, but it comes with a long 14-second cooldown.

This was Jiang Yin’s win condition. So he played a trick. Between attacks, he pressed Ctrl + F3 to trigger a dance, then instantly canceled it with a movement command. Since the Blade Demon’s dance animation closely resembles the wind-up of Q, he baited Ji Yunyu into thinking the ability was coming.

This was a niche mechanic—so obscure that even many Blade Demon players didn’t know it. Jiang Yin was gambling. Gambling that a non-top-laner wouldn’t know such fine mechanical details.

And he won. To dodge the “fake” second Q, Ji Yunyu had no choice but to Flash.

“Mistake used the wind-up animation to bait Cloud—that wasn’t Q!! He held the second Q, waited for Cloud to Flash, then followed with his own Flash—Q-Flash cancels the animation delay and knocks both of them up!!”

[Nv_Mistake (Soul-Sealing Blade Demon) has slain PNG_Myerii (Wildfang)!]

[Nv_Mistake (Soul-Sealing Blade Demon) has slain PNG_Cloud (Void Devourer)!]

[Double Kill!]

[PNG_Cloud (Void Devourer) has slain Nv_Mistake (Soul-Sealing Blade Demon)!]

[Shutdown!]

“Holy shit holy shit holy shit?! What is Brother Jiang doing?? A 1v2 double kill?!”

“That’s insane, my god!!”

“Nice!”

“Don’t do this—you’re making me look stupid for wanting to go top and help!”

Red-side minions dutifully swung their weapons, finishing off Jiang Yin’s last sliver of HP. The crimson “Shutdown” banner ignited the entire arena. That 1v2 double kill sent the crowd’s adrenaline through the roof!

“Mistaaaake——!!”

“Mistake! Mistake! Mistake——!!”

“Bold yet precise, daring and decisive! Absolutely beautiful! Mistake executed every detail perfectly—every step, every movement, every skill cast flawless—earning a level 4 double kill!” Qing Ci couldn’t help but applaud loudly. “He’s proven with his play that this summer, the top lane of War of Glory still belongs to warriors!!”

“Exactly! Mistake has completely brought out Navic’s momentum! This kind of courage fits perfectly with Blade Demon’s iconic line—” The crowd roared in unison:

“Through blades and fire, we fear no death!”

“Through blades and fire, we fear no death!”

The audience’s thunderous chant overlapped with the Blade Demon’s hoarse in-game voice.

“Navic—charge forward!!”

——

Before the excitement could fade, more good news came from bot lane.

Pei Xingyi coordinated a 3v2 dive with his marksman and support. Although they didn’t secure a kill, they forced Lin Zhaoxu’s Flash and chunked both opponents low, forcing Lin Zhaoxu and Cheng Su to recall—losing a massive wave of experience.

With both top and bot lanes gaining advantages, Navic took the lead in gold.

“That 1v2 top play was absolutely crucial!”

Qing Ci tried to steady his voice. “Not only did Mistake secure a 3/1 lane advantage for himself, he also stalled Cloud long enough for Truik to help bot, relieving pressure there as well! Navic now has complete control over the top side, and the early disadvantage in bot has been neutralized—Mistake has truly stepped up this game!”

“Exactly. This is the charm of a star player,” Chao Mi agreed. “When the rest of the team falls silent, there’s always someone who stands up and carries them forward!”

“But Mistake hitting this form is terrible news for PNG. It’s only 5 minutes in, and their top side is already showing signs of collapse—they need to find a way to stabilize the game!”
